Hooded nudibranch Melibe leonina
The carnivorous nudibranch or hooded nudibranch lives in shallow water
and is commonly found in eel grass or in kelp forests. They have a large
expandable oral hood with tentacles which is used to trap and feed on
planktonic prey. Melibe are usually attached to substrate but
they can also swim by undulating their bodies in a very graceful motion.
