  3. Thanks for the fix. I am waiting for the debris - I need a new boat.

Big rise of water in the Samish River system overnight and this morning. Samish Bay Shellfish beds automatically closed until sampling shows the harvest is safe to resume.

    http://www.skagitcounty.net/Common/Asp/Default.asp?d=PublicWorksCleanWater&c=General&p=cleansamish.htm will give the details.

Samples taken at 10:00am and again at around 1:00 pm Wednesday will begin to tell the tale.

Typically the Samish System is real dirty-bad with Fecal Coliform all during the river rise and then cleans out quickly after the peak and the river begins to fall - which suggests that much of the fecal contamination is being washed in from ditches and little streams that recede very quickly after the rain stops.

Right now we all have our fingers crossed that this data will be much better than previous big fall rains - lots of people doing a lot to try to improve conditions and some good success would be nice to see.

And if not good success? Well .... "Adaptive Management"?
